5. Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:6. Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever.7. Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners:8. The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous:Psalm 146:5-8 Happy or blessed is an inner state of well-being having an unhindered fellowship with God. To have this, you must know Him. The one true God of the spiritual Jacob the Church. How can you put hope in someone if you do not know them. So, the psalmist reveals his relationship with the Creator. He is true in word and deed it is impossible for Him to lie. Being concerned for all conditions of His creations. But most importantly, His concern is for the spiritual aspects of mankind. So much so that He gave His life. To free men from the prison of sin. To remove us from darkness into His light. To feed all who hunger spiritually with His word. To remove the oppression of Satan, the adversary. To give eternal life to all who will follow Him who will receive His love and reward. Amen.
