1. Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 2. And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;3. And did all eat the same spiritual meat;4. All did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.5. But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. 1 Corinthians 10:1-5 Paul explains that the multitude that left Egypt with Moses all received the same care. All saw and heard God, under His cloud by day, and a pillar of fire at night. All passed through the parted Red Sea. All ate the things provided by God in the wilderness. The manna was there every morning, and water came forth from a rock. Paul mentioned this Rock is Christ providing the water on which they lived. Now the forty year span in the desert was punishment for their unbelief. And God separated those adults that came out of Egypt from the ones born in the desert. Every adult that left Egypt died in the desert. Only two entered the promised land. Joshua and Caleb, Christ said that many are called but few are chosen. We must maintain a separation from the world of sin. Otherwise we will perish like those in the desert. Amen.
