1. They that trust in the LORD shall be as Mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
2. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.
3. For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
4. Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.
5. As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.
Psalm 125:1-5
All who deal with the Lord must trust Him in every detail. Giving credit to God's wisdom and mercy. God, like the mountains around Jerusalem, can not be moved out of His place.
Believers in Christ are as mountains, strong, stable, and secure. Their foundation is the Rock of our salvation. In Christ is our strength and confidence.
The Lord surrounds His people like the mountains surrounding Jerusalem. From the time before this song, and forever. Many things change in time. God and His word never varies.
Wickedness shall not prevail over the righteous, and it is the Lord's timing how long a trial will last.
The Lord is good to the upright, to all who are covered in Christ's righteousness.
But the wicked shall be led to their judgment.
While peace ( Shalom ), the meaning of Jerusalem, is on Israel. Not all in Israel are Israelites. And because of Christ, the believers from the Gentile nations are grafted into the chosen people of God. Amen.
