1. O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.2. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he redeemed from the hand of the enemy;3. And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south. 4. They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.5. Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. Psalm 107:1-5 The psalmist pleads with the singers to give thanks to the Lord. For His goodness will be revealed in the rest of the psalm. For His mercy is forever. Having no beginning and no end. Those redeemed by the Lord shall declare it is Christ who has won the victory over Satan. The Gospel message preached in every nation. Gathering the saints of God. Christ has redeemed mankind from wandering around lost on the path to destruction. Their souls hungry for God's word. Their souls thirsty for the living water that gives eternal life. Christ has led them to the place prepared from the beginning. A reward for the believer, a reward that none can steal away. Amen.
