8-16'24, WBR Live, “Daily Constitution”, “Hillbilly Friday”, (pics on winkin) First fire; Leftovers again, Still need another deflector for the heat on the incline, and the hood/exhaust to complete (next month) but I started a cure fire in the pit to measure the workings for hot spots, draft, size of coals/wood required, etc... The pit looks to be good for smoking and Elul Log (SP?) slow burn, once the local pine is dry enough. No great fire would be something used in this configuration (even if the connecting materials are steel and glass. The temporary plastic cover (first winter) will let me know -real quick- if the heat is too strong on the flats. The rock flooring still needs to be -better- leveled, but the water required will be more comfortable to work with when it turns 90F this week. As for the second meme, it is about a “Telegraph” message from Wendy(?) we had.
