1. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.2. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.3. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. 4. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office.Romans 12:1-5 Paul gives practical duties as followers of Christ. Since everything belongs to Christ being Lord of all. And seeing we received salvation as a free gift. Our response should be to please Christ in everything we do and say. This is a task that takes a great deal of effort. Being bought by Christ's blood, we no longer have a place in this world. And we renew this mind by filling it with God's word. So, we begin to think what is good and acceptable to God. And all we have is from God, so our hearts should not think we are any better than others for what we have received. And as our body has many parts so the body of Christ to which we are a part has many different pieces which also have different duties. And no part is better than another, for all belong to Christ. Amen.
