31. What
shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32. He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33. Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
34. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, than is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us?
35. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Romans 8:31-35
Paul speaking to those at Rome, saying that who God called He justified, and who He justified, He glorified in Christ.
If God be for us, they are united, Father, Son, and Spirit. No enemy can prevail against you. Not Satan, sin, the world, or death.
Christ not being spared, the Father delivered Him up for the sins of men. But not all will receive Him. But to the redeemed He has give all good things, spiritual blessings, covered in Christ's righteousness, pardon of sin, grace, adoption, and eternal life.
None can charge God's elect, who He has declared not guilty in Christ.
Christ giving His life for the elect of God. Has secured their salvation. Not so with those who refuse, Christ would have been their Savior, but at the end He will be their Judge.
Who can separate us from Christ's love for us? He died in our place, paying our debt to sin. His love is unfailing, He is always faithful. Nothing we go through in this life will separate Christ's love for us, not even death. Amen.
