1. He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
4. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Psalm 91:1-5
The secret place of God is His heart. Where Christ is present. This is where the saints are admitted and they dwell in His love. Christ by His sacrifice has preserved us from the flaming sword of justice. Because we broke God's laws, and there is no mercy because we are guilty.
The psalmist speaks for us in faith. We have Christ as Savior, Redeemer, He is a refuge when all else fails. We are protected and safe from all harm. Christ is a wall of everlasting salvation.
He has delivered us from the traps of Satan. And from the deadly disease of sin.
Christ is the truth of God in the form of a man. His promises are yes and let it be so, He can be trusted for He gave His life for us.
All who are in Christ are protected from the enemy his fruit is lies, murder, and robbery. Also the arrow of God's judgment the sword, famine, and disease, was sent as the angel of death, Christ having paid our debt. Covers us with His righteousness, and we are safe. Amen.
