25. Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.26. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. 27. For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.28. But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I might declare all thy works.Psalm 73:25-28 The psalmist says, who have we in heaven? God the Father, Son, and Spirit. Our covenant God and Father, Christ the Son our Mediator, Savior, Redeemer, Intercessor, Lord, and the Spirit, as the Sanctifier, Comforter, all make up the one Godhead. There is nothing to compare to the fellowship and blessings of God. If the whole world belonged to you and you have not Christ, you would have nothing that would last. We are needy and frail creatures. Our time is short. The relationship with Christ, His salvation, is our portion here now and in the world to come. For all who are estranged from God will see destruction. Those who turn from His love and affection, from obedience, to the moral and spiritual law. They shall never see the reward prepared for the redeemed. It is good for all to draw near to the Savior, He is our door into heaven, our solid foundation, our refuge from the enemy, because of Christ's eternal saving grace. Amen.
