The Republicans have put forward a bill, the SAVE act, which would require documentary proof of United States citizenship in order to vote in American elections. Well, guess what the Biden administration did? That’s right they came out against it saying that there’s already federal laws against noncitizens voting. However, there is also been many documented cases of people coming forward and claiming that when they registered for public assistance, they were also registered to vote. These claims are from noncitizens that originally entered our country illegally. Now we don’t know if their claims are true but when more than 10 million people flood our system in such a short period of time it’s possible for these types of things to happen.If, and I repeat if, these claims are true then these people can get mail in ballots, send them in, and once those ballots have been opened and separated from their envelopes, we will never be able to tell which ballots were from a noncitizen and which ones were from a citizen, therein lies the problem. I’ll put a link to the SAVE act down in comments so you can read it for yourself. Also, attached is the letter from the White House voicing their opposition to common sense.
