Ed Bakker With a bit a of research, I found the culprits. Note the master navigator sits high, streaming clear material. The applicators fly in tight formation. The white stream rolls left and expands, hiding the other chemical streams. There's a lot of science involved.๐
๐คฃ๐๐Contrails, short for "condensation trails," are long, thin clouds that form behind aircraft engines at high altitudes under specific atmospheric conditions. These trails are composed primarily of water vapor, created when hot, humid engine exhaust mixes with cold, low-pressure air. The water vapor rapidly condenses and freezes into tiny ice crystals, forming the visible white streaks seen in the sky.Contrails vary in appearance and persistence based on several factors, including the temperature and humidity of the atmosphere through which the aircraft is flying. In cold, moist conditions at high altitudes, contrails can persist and spread out, forming persistent contrails that may last for hours and spread across large areas of the sky. On the other hand, in drier or warmer conditions, contrails may dissipate quickly or not form at all.๐
