Hard to top what Linda Hamilton put herself through in preparation for Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
Hamilton actually began her training just 2 weeks after giving birth to her son. She underwent weapons training with a former Israeli Special Forces officer, eventually being able to pump load a 12-gauge shotgun with one arm and nail a bullseye with 8 pistol shots in a row, despite having never even fired a gun previously in her life.
For 3 months she worked out for three hours a day, six days a week — running, swimming, biking, climbing stairs, lunges, trampoline drills, and weight training. She also learned judo! At the end, she had lost 12 pounds of fat and could bench press 85 pounds (at 5′5″, 125lbs.) and run 8 miles without issue.
Arnold Schwarzenegger said that when he saw her on set on the first day of filming, he was in awe of her transformation.
