Part of the conspiracy hypothesisezzzerzz problem is that they simply cannot, or will not, vet sources. They refuse to believe accurate sources ("they're part of the cover-up!!!"), but "there's a patent!" is, to them, proof of... something. And a photo of a contrail, or a cloud is proof of chemtrails, because they have absolutely no idea what is going on when it comes to weather, and aviation.
