The unsold inventory of Tesla, the electric vehicle company owned by Elon Musk, has accumulated to such an extent that it is now visible from space. Even after lowering prices on popular models like the Model Y, Tesla still has 46,561 unsold vehicles from Q1 2024, leading to a $2.5 billion free cash flow deficit.
Satellite images show lots around Tesla's Texas Gigafactory and various locations nationwide, including malls in St. Louis and Moreno Valley, filled with unsold cars. Don't laugh. He doesn't care if he sells them or not. Either way he gets all the government subsidies, and all the tax write-off's. Whether you drive one or not, you already paid for all those cars. And Elon collected $56 Billion this year from Tesla.
