9. Hide thy face from my sins, and block out all mine iniquities. 10. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.11. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. 12. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.13. Then will I my teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.Psalm 51:9-13 The psalmist under the burden of sin seeks forgiveness from God. In a plea to hide the sin that was committed in the sight of God. And all the other sins he was responsible for. The need for a clean heart which we were not born with, and a completely new spirit. This is the born again experience. A transformation from a degenerate sinner on the path of destruction. To a regenerated soul turned into a child of the most High God. The psalmist having a relationship with God can sense the loss of fellowship that only a redeemed soul knows. He seeks restoration and forgiveness. And as we learn from him we see you can not share the salvation of Christ while walking in sin. This is repentance the walking away from sin and following the path Christ walked. We may be the only Jesus some ever see. There is no reward for half measures. We must be fully committed to Christ and His ways. Amen.
