7. Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,8. I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.9. I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest.10. I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.11. Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.Psalm 40:7-11 The psalmist in this song speaks of Christ. His coming out of obedience, to save His people, and to do His Father's will. All written in the Gospel message. Not only did Christ preach righteousness, but He lived it. Totally without sin. Hiding nothing but delivered everything given by the Almighty. Christ revealed the Father to us in His very life. Honest, trustworthy, faithful, holy, and merciful. Sinless yet, the burden of all the sins of the world was laid on Him. And His trust of His Father, to restore their relationship, after His death, to raise Him from the grave, and lift Him up, sitting Him at His right side, till all His enemies are under His feet. And the last enemy to be destroyed is death. 1 Corinthians 15: 25-26 Amen.
