1. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.2. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.3. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice; and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. 4. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.5. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.John 10:1-5 These are Christ's words, the church is the sheepfold, the door is Christ, all who enter come through Christ, anyone else trying to enter any way but Christ, will fail, having not the authority given Christ by the Almighty. The difference between a thief and a robber, a thief steals in secret, a robber face to face. Christ has the divine commission with authority to be the Shepherd of the flock. He feeds them and keeps them secure. The porter who opens the sheepfold is Almighty God, and Christ enters in as Mediator between the Almighty and souls of men. And the sheep hear the voice of Christ in the Gospel message. They are converted and follow Christ. Called sheep because they are harmless and inoffensive in their lives and are exposed to malice, cruelty, and the perils of ungodly men. Being meek and patient in suffering. Christ leads the out from among the world's goats and from sin. Covered in His Righteousness leading to the green pastures and still waters. Now Christ is leading the flock and they follow for they know the voice of the Gospel and Christ leads by example, on the narrow path. They will not follow strangers those not sent by Christ. For they have not the words of life eternal or of pardon, mercy, and grace. These the sheep will flee from for there is nothing but destruction in their doctrine. Amen.
