1. Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.2. LORD, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.3. If thou, LORD, shouldst mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?4. But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.5. I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.Psalm 130:1-5 The psalmist cries out to Christ in the depths of sin, having the knowledge that it is Christ who is able to save and forgive him. It is Christ who hears his prayer of supply, seeking forgiveness and pardon. The wisdom of knowing if Christ did not forgive that none should appear before God and reap the reward Christ has prepared before even the universe was created. The trust in Christ that He would forgive the debt of sin and restore the lost relationship that the psalmist may reverence Christ as Lord and Savior. So we are taught, who can we wait on, where can place our hope of everlasting life, only in Christ, who kept His promise right unto His death. His words of comfort saying He would never leave or forsake us. None that put their trust in the Son of the Living God shall be disappointed. Amen.
