33. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
34. Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
35. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
36. But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.
37. All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
John 6:33-37
Jesus is the bread of life, God providing life, to men who are dead in sin. Christ came to give spiritual life to a world that was perishing.
They say give us that bread speaking out of ignorance, for it was not bread for the body but food needed for spiritual growth.
Jesus says I am the bread of life giving life to dead sinners dead in trespasses and sins. None shall have life eternal without Christ.
All who come to Christ will feed on the Gospel and their thirst for spiritual answers they will find in Christ through the Spirit.
These people saw and heard Christ and witnessed His miracles but did not believe He was the Messiah sent to redeem them.
Those drawn to Christ by the Spirit by the grace of God Christ will never turn away. Hebrews 11:6, But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Amen.
