18. Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.
19. Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.
20. He that is our God is the God of our salvation; and unto God the Lord belong the issues from death. 21. But God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses.
Psalm 68:18-21
This song, the psalmist, wrote 1045 years before Christ was born. And in these prophetic verses, you can not miss Christ. Christ ascended to heaven from where He came. In front of witnesses, the wording is in the past tense. Though he speaks of a future events. Such as freeing all bound by the burden of sin, redeemed by His blood.
Giving gifts of the Holy Ghost to men to aid in their ministry of the Gospel. All men before conversion are rebellious sinners, and this was Christ's mission to bring the lost into fellowship with God by paying for their sins with His life.
Daily giving abundant blessings, starting with salvation, pardon, renewal, and providing everything anyone needs to live as a child of God.
Christ is God, His victory over Satan, has abolished sin, death, and all the punishment. Proving Christ has been on our side from the beginning, and there is no hope without Him.
As this verse explains, God's enemies, Satan, his devils, will be crushed, and destroyed, and all who refuse Christ, will experience the wrath of God, who continue in their sinning having no care of what takes place at the end of days. Amen.
