This is to the rulers over God's people, to keep them humble to credit all strength to God, for the strength of men is vanity. Worship the Lord in holiness, give honor to His name and to Christ. The heathen gave devotion to lightning and thunder, but the glory should have been given to Christ, the Creator of all that was made. The voice of Christ is powerful through the Gospel message, the power of Christ to change a sinner into a saint as quickly as the lightning strikes. Christ's voice on earth was full of power and authority, showing His Deity as God. Christ's voice like thunder to a sinner, breaking the proud and stouthearted, with His message of salvation, pardon, and forgiveness. And the promise of eternal life, by the Word of the Lord. Amen.
