1. Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,2. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.3. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lease ye be wearied and faint in your minds.4. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.5. And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuke of him:6. For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. Hebrews 12:1-6 ?? Those seeking Christ, with all their heart, are part of a group of witnesses, that came before them. Setting aside the burden of sin, by faith in the Obedient Son, all sin, that so easily causes one to stumble. Let us run this race, where the finish line, comes quicker than we expect. Looking at Jesus, who encountered all that we have, but sinned not. And sits at the right hand of the Father. Do not faint, or be exhausted, at the striving against sin, for Christ has won the Victory, over every single one. And our faith shall be tested, as we are tested, seeing if the whole heart, belongs to Christ the King, for half measures, will never be accepted, nor rewarded. Amen.
