These are very high in Omega 6. You need Omega 6, but not at the levels these oils increase them to. This causes inflammation and a host of other health problems, including metabolic disease AND CANCER. They are prevalent in just about all processed food. The half life of Omega 6 is 2 years. When you eat Omega 6 in such high quantities, it robs you of Omega 3. If you stopped using these altogether, it still takes years for your body to get rid of them. Your American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society and a host of other 'health' organizations pimp these low saturated fat 'vegetable' oils out as healthy. These are the same organizations that say butter, red meat, and eggs are bad for you. They are also the same organizations that pimp out the food pyramid which is partly why 40% of Americans are obese, 32% are overweight, and 8% are severely obese (I'm rounding up here). Think about it: Only 20% of Americans are healthy. Many of these oils are banned in the EU for good reason.
