Pamela Mayer (Member 49,197) spotted a festivity of Cirrus floccus clouds over the Oasis Waterpark in Phoenix, Arizona, US. Floccus is Latin for a ‘tuft of wool’. The fleecy tufts of this species of Cirrus often trail streamers of ice crystals. Though their movement is almost imperceptible, they look as if they’re swaying to the rhythm of the high winds. Pamela’s crowd of clouds shimmied in the bright Arizona sun.
