1. Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulcher, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.2. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulcher.3. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.4. And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:5. And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?6. He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,Luke 24:1-6 The women first at the tomb, boldly coming in the dark. Bringing the things needed for the burial of Jesus. Concerned about how they were to roll back the stone that sealed the tomb. Devout women, but neither they nor the disciples paid attention to Christ when He said He would rise from death. And they looked in but Christ was not there. And they see angels in garments to brilliant to look at. And they were afraid. And they speak words hard for them to understand. Why are you looking for Jesus here. And all our faith is on these next words, He is not here, He is risen! Christ does exactly what He says He need not speak to impress for His actions speak for themselves. He is not dead but alive, He has won the Victory over Satan, sin, and death. He is our Redeemer our Savior for all eternity. For this was ordained before the Universe was created. Amen.
