I’m about to make waves.
Having spent too long where I don’t belong,
I find myself beside the ocean, to wash it all away.
Loosely wearing remnants of a personality crafted from experiences I didn’t even choose – like a necklace dutifully fastened each morning.
Should the beads spill messily onto the shore, they’d be claimed and set free all at once. Destiny unknown. I smile.
The water bubbles about my feet, sinking me further into the seabed, anchoring me, as I sway with the welcoming pull to the vastness.
I’ve played roles I’ve long outgrown and nodded agreements, supported by gentle tones.
Now, something deeper calls, to be untangled and free, revealing the truest version of me.
Mesmerized by the undulation, the fullness of the cycle rising and breaking, tickles my soul.
Alive in the spaciousness, infusing possibilities with promises.
The sun shines through and I commit to standing in my light.
I wasn’t born to fit in, but to grow through and glow through it all.
Let’s make waves...
