So, when I got my hand cut off, Oregon State Health University actually managed to get it reattached. They told me if I kept it, life would be harder, they would have to rebuild the worst with muscle from my stomach and it would only have about 4% the movement it had before with my three remaining fingers. I might have kept it, in hindsight, because that's exactly where I need my fingers to game, anyway.... but... then there was the whole... extending my stay in the hospital past the 11 days I was looking at already. All in all, I'm not disappointed with my choice. A little disappointed that I can't find for disability because of it now that I have no hand, but whatever. I'll grind this shit out with the rest of ya. I opted to have them remove the hand. Rather than continue with Frankenstein hand and have to deal with the fallout from not having connected nerve endings. But, now I have a robot hand, and a farmer's hook.

What is the point of this post please?

Linda
How did you get it cut off? My sister knew a guy who got his cut off in a machine. Did not know it until he saw the hand go by with the other stuff.

Mark Livingston
Ya, I'd go with a robot hand.
