All planets have gravity based on their mass and rotational speed. Kind of like that barrel ride at the fair where the bottom drops out as you spin holding you against the side of the ride.

"An object in motion stays in motion unless acted on by another force". Which force would push them to "a different location"? According to Newton the jumping astronaut should jump against gravity, and come back down according to that vector.
