17. He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.18. This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD. 19. For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth;20. To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;21. To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;Psalm 102:17-21 This song is prophetic of distresses to come upon the church and the saints of God during the reign of the antichrist. These prayers are offered up by the two witnesses who pray day and night, and His ears are open, and He will receive them with pleasure. And glorious things shall be done for the church because of their prayers. The praying souls in all generations concerning the glory of the church in the latter days shall keep up the faith and expectations until they are accomplished. For God, Himself looks down from heaven on sinful men. He also beholds good men with an eye to protect and defend them. The Lord hears the groaning of the prisoners held captives because of their belief and appointed to death by the courts of men. These shall be delivered. These are not those who refused Christ and are appointed to eternal judgment. But these are prisoners judged to die loosed by God that they might declare to the church what great things the Lord has done for them. And they shall praise Him and show Him honor. This is the gospel state of the church when all under Christ are delivered from the antichristian yoke. Amen.
