1. Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.2. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. 3. How long will you imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence.4. They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah. 5. My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.Psalm 62:1-5 The psalmist waits on God with expectation. An inward frame of spirit with trust that salvation comes from no other. In this world and the next. Christ is the solid foundation, the author of salvation, our Savior, all who trust in Him shall not be moved off the narrow way. I see here a prophetic message of those who plotted against Christ, the only innocent man in all the earth. Who they accused and murdered. The Son of the Living God. With lies and cursing, they sent Him to the cross. And the evil they performed would return upon their own heads. But all the faithful will wait on Christ. They will trust in no one else, for there is salvation in no other. As Christ came as a helpless baby and grew into a man so when He returns He shall come as a victorious King, having gained victory over Satan, sin and eternal death. Amen.
