1. And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!2. And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.3. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John Andrew asked him privately,4. Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?5. And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:Mark 13:1-5 Jesus, at this time, has left the temple for the final time. The disciples tried to impress Christ with the temple that Herod repaired, which was very beautiful, the disciples thinking such a building would last forever. Christ responded that this building would be destroyed and not a stone left on top of another. The disciples still did not understand that Christ must die, rise from death, and return from where He came and return again at the time appointed. Here is Christ's lesson to them and to us. There shall be many that will say they are a messiah, but Christ is the true God, Savior, Redeemer, they is no other. Pay no attention to these distractions, keep faithful to the task, and preach the Gospel everywhere. We have the same task, every place you look Satan is working, and we need to be about our Gospel business, no distractions, no feeling faint, lean on the everlasting arms, of Christ. Let us live for Jesus, preach His Gospel, till we are called into His arms, but now we have much to do. Amen.
