National Interest writes: “M1 Abrams tanks are being destroyed by Russia in Ukraine. Ukraine turned into a tank graveyard and they were joined by three M1A2 Abrams. The vaunted Abrams was actually not much different from other tanks.” Abrams' poor performance in Ukraine and major failures such as Leopard 2 and Challenger 2 caused shock. The shock experienced here is similar to that experienced by the losses of the "Indestructible Merkava" in the Gaza Strip. There is also concern that high quality Western tanks are so easily destroyed by simple and cheap weapons. All the wonder weapons of the West and its allies are very quickly destroyed by all weapons that they consider simple and of poor quality. The same situation occurs in all areas that the West considers successful and superior.
