1. Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. 2. Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.3. When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.4. For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture turned into the drought of summe. Selah.5. I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah. The psalmist gives instruction when caught up in sin. Sin is a heavy burden to bear, and who can bear the punishment of eternal fire. We must seek Christ, who is our hope. Our sin is being transferred onto Christ, and we are pardoned and forgiven. The blood of Christ covers the sin. It can no longer be brought to our charge. The psalmist gives account that he came in faith, and without deceit or treachery in his confession. It seems there was a delay in asking for atonement, and in his description of what he went through trying to bear the burden of his transgression, for he felt the hand of God pressing on him, and he had run out of tears. The lesson is confess quickly acknowledge the sin, for we are responsible for all we have done. You can hide nothing from God confess it all. Then you shall have pardon and forgiveness. And your relationship with God shall be restored. This is the blessing the psalmist is talking about. There is nothing in this world worth losing the fellowship of Christ. Amen.
