9. Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?10. But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, ( he saith to the sick of the palsy,)11. I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.12. And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We have never saw it on this fashion.Mark 2:9-12 Jesus is speaking in a house and a paralyzed man is let down from the roof, because of the crowd in the house. Now Jesus sees the faith the men have and the paralyzed man has the faith to be healed. Jesus tells him, his sins are forgiven. This offended the teachers of the law, and the begin to have thoughts that Jesus is out of line. Speaking blasphemies. Jesus speaks to them, starting at verse 9. Jesus came to us to pay our debt to sin, this was His mission and was first on His mind. But He asks the teachers who refused to submit that He was the Son of God, what is easier to say your sins are forgiven or to say get up and walk. The teachers could not do either one. Now Jesus speaks to the paralyzed man, get up pick up your bed and go home. Just His word, the Creator had no need of doctors or medication, seeing He was the architect of the human body, and by His word the universe was created. The man gets up picks up his bed and goes home leaving the people amazed, they never saw anyone restored with no rehabilitation. This man instantly had movement and strength to pick up his stuff and walk home. This is the God we serve, having all authority to heal us, pardon and forgive us, because He loves us, I have experienced this love being flat on my back for a year, Jesus healed me, I had a herniated disk in my back that keep me from walking, they said the surgery could cause permanent loss of movement in my legs. I was told I could never do heavy work ever. In 1998 at 45 I became a structural iron worker in Los Angeles and retired at 60. Jesus still does miracles. Amen.
