1. Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars: 2. She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table. 3. She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city, 4. Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,5. Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.6. Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding. Proverb 9:1-6 Christ as God possessed all the wisdom to create the universe and us and all other living things. The wisdom of Christ has prepared a house, a Church, formed and polished out of stone. Christ is the Rock the Foundation. The pillars Christ supports are the prophets, apostles, pastors, and teachers. The preparations that have been made are that Christ is the sacrifice for sin, the table is set with the Gospel message, our spiritual food, the Word of God. The maidens are the ministers of the Gospel, soft spoken, spreading the message in love, not hard and unbending like the law. Preaching where all can hear, nothing done in secret. For all who would seek to be wise and escape destruction, wisdom says come and learn. Come feast on the Word of God, the Bread of Life, which is Christ. And the mingled wine, the love of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost, which is vintage wine, eternal in origin, which being free may be consumed without restraint, for it will not be intoxicating, but will be nourishment to the spirit, cleansing, strengthening, enlightening. Give up the way of eternal death, and choose the way of life, and live now, and forever, everything has been done, there is nothing you can add. Just receive Christ's love, live for Him, because He died for you. Amen.
