35. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.36. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.37. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.38. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,39. And knew not until the flood came, and took them away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.Matthew 24:35-39 These words are to be taken very seriously, for they are the words of Christ, He is eternal, and there is nothing in Him but truth. Christ, as the Son of God knows, all the Father knows for they are as one. Yet Christ, as the son of man, as mediator, came not to destroy, but to save men, and this was not the time to make known the destruction of Jerusalem. Christ warned those to flee out of Jerusalem before its destruction, and some did, and were saved like those in the Ark. And in that time, the rest engaged in whatever they wanted, having no restraint. Like those who were warned over a hundred years as the Ark was built, and Noah preached repentance, and none listened. Not till it started to rain, then their attitude changed and the sought salvation, but God had already sealed the door on the Ark. At the very last, it shall be like this the lost seeking salvation when it is to late, and judgment is all that is left. We have no guarantee of our next breath. The Word in ll Corinthians 6:2, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. Amen.
