"Once upon a time there was a man and a woman who loved each other very much.
In fact, they loved each other so much that each saw the perfection of God in the other.
In each other's eyes they saw the world, because their souls were one.
In each other's heart they felt the rhythm of divine energy, because they lived and breathed as one person.
In each other's ears, they heard the same song, but in each other's body they noticed the difference.
Their perfect identity required no understanding as it constantly filled them with joy.
But the differences left them confused.
Soon the man and woman began to become aware of themselves.
The love had not changed, but the physical differences made them start to think differently, to feel differently in relation to each other.
Then they started acting weird…
Soon the unity they felt was dark and hidden.
Uniformity was eclipsed by differences.
Divine perfection was now obscured by the perception of imperfection itself.
The man wanted to know if the woman's body was really the most perfect he could have for him.
The woman thought the same thing about the man.
Soon, the physical imperfections they discovered in each other began to grow.
Then the emotional differences also increased.
Eventually, they began to analyze their love for each other.
Over time, they barely managed to perceive their own love.
The man looked for other women.
The woman looked for other men.
Each tried to find what was missing in the other.
For 12,000 years they wandered the Earth.
The man found beautiful women.
The woman found handsome men.
However, there seemed to be something missing from each new person they met.
Time passed, they got tired and disappointed.
The journey had weakened their bodies.
The eyes stopped shining.
Hearts no longer knew love because disillusionment had driven them to despair.
The centuries had eroded what they thought they were looking for, and they no longer remembered what it was.
Then one day they met again.
They saw each other's tired body and looked into his eyes.
And they realized something they hadn't noticed before.
They no longer saw the differences.
His eyes began to shine through tears of happiness.
Amidst the dim flicker of truth, they saw beyond the obvious imperfections.
Their travels had taught them humility and were the perfection of their love.
The heavens were open, merciful.
The clouds of doubt broke.
The sun cast its rays on the great treasure they had just discovered.
Both regained their youth...
Their bodies became strong again, they became one again.
From that unity, love blossomed as an eternal truth...”

Shortest love poem: Once upon a time a man met a woman and he asked the woman to marry him. And the woman said, “No” and she lived happily ever after. 😊 The End.
