4. And thou shalt bring in the table, and set in order the things that are to be set in order upon it; and thou shalt bring in the candlestick, and light the lamps thereof.5. And thou shalt set the altar of gold for the incense before the ark of the testimony, and put the hanging of the door to the tabernacle.6. And thou shalt set the altar of the burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation. 7. And thou shalt set the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and shalt put water therein. 8. And thou shalt set up the court round about, and hang up the hanging at the court gate. Exodus 40:4-8 God is a God of order and He shall have order in the way He is worshipped. I saw this in my reading this morning, I pray you see to. We can not come in to God's presence in any manner we choose, but we must submit to His ways. I see first that light is brought in, if we are still in spiritual darkness, we come in vain. The gold altar of incense, the value of our prayers to God, thanking for forgiveness and pardon, there is a hanging on the door keeping out those who still value the world. The altar of the burnt offering a picture of our Lords sacrifice put before the congregation, showing Christ died for all even for those that refuse Him. The laver set between the congregation and the altar of sacrifice, before we receive the benefit of the sacrifice, Christ must washed us clean with His blood, and removed the penalty of sin which is death. And the hanging around the tabernacle is the separation between the saved repentant sinner from the ungodly. For though we breathe the same air, eat the same food, drink the same water. God puts a division between His people that He gave His life for. And so shall it be at the end of days. Amen.
