1. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.2. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.3. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff rod and staff, they comfort me.5. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Psalm 23:1-5 The Shepherd's song, this morning has a deeper meaning. Sunday, I turned 71, and who would have thought I could live so long. I have all I need. A loving wife, family, friends, grandchildren. I truly am in green pastures, and the troubled waters have been calmed. Christ has restored my soul, something I could not do nor family. Nor could anyone pull me out of darkness into the Light of the Righteousness of Christ, only the beloved Savior. Death is closer than my last birthday, but what can I be afraid of, Christ is with me. I am comforted. Though Satan and his devils have tried to destroy me, I have been blessed, I heard happy birthday babes, from my wife, my daughter spent a great deal of effort to insure a fantastic birthday celebration for her uncle and myself, with dinner, family, niece and nephew, grandchildren, all day texts came with happy birthday Greg. Jesus has truly treated me better than I deserve, thank you, Jesus, my cup is overflowing with love You have surrounded me with. Amen.
