"DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LOVE AND ATTACHMENT :
Attachment is when you want a person to make you happy and give you what you want.
It is a feeling of dependence, of attachment: "I can't live without you", "without you my life has no meaning", "you make me happy"...
When there is infatuation, there is attachment. It is an illusory state of mind. There is no freedom, but dependence, slavery.
In an attachment relationship, the couple needs the other to complete them, to fill their inner emptiness, to make them happy. And if you don't give it everything it needs, there is a great emptiness inside and a lot of suffering.
When instead of attachment, there is love in a couple, the most important thing is "Wanting the other to be happy."
No matter what happens, no matter what you decide, whether it's with us or not, true love only wants the other person's happiness.
There is no dependence, since each is a source of love, neither fills the void of the other, since each is full of love and then they share it.
In a love relationship, there is freedom, there is expansion of consciousness. It is a mutual help for the spiritual path of the two people who share love.
Falling in love means "addiction".
It is mental, egocentric, there is no maturity, there is emotional deficit and you are looking for the other, you need the other to fill you and make you happy.
When you are in love, you lose yourself. It is a loss of consciousness, because one lives in a totally illusory, ego state.
On the other hand, when instead of being in love, there is love as a capacity for understanding and acceptance, there is no ego, there is no mind, it is a love from the heart, from the soul and you feel it both alone and with another person, because when you feel fulfilled, being a source of light and love, you don't need the other to fill your void...
What you do when there is true love is give it to the other person to make them happy."
