Mount Shasta in California, US is considered by some locals as the site of an underground city known as Telos, which is home to a peaceful race of aliens called the Lemurians. Apparently, the Lemurians sometimes use clouds to disguise their supply ships that come and go from their hidden city. One snowy night, William Miesse (Member 29,974) spotted a suspected Lemurian craft shrouded by an Altocumulus lenticularis cloud. This disc-shaped lenticularis form of Altocumulus takes its name from the Latin for a ‘lentil’. It forms when a moist airstream flows over a mountain and develops a rising and dipping path downwind of the peak. At the crests of the waves, moisture in the flowing air can cool enough to condense and appear as discs of cloud that seem to hover in place. If the winds remain steady, the discs of cloud can remain in place for many hours – plenty long enough to offload the Lemurian supplies before the UFO needs to head back across the Milky Way.
