After a strong storm had just passed over the hills of New Woodstock, New York, US, Mary Padgett was faced with a dilemma. On the underside of the rear of the enormous Cumulonimbus storm cloud was a stunning display of the pouch-like cloud features known as mamma, which her husband, William Padgett (Member 30,444), would definitely have appreciated. But William had slept right through the storm and was still snoozing so comfortably. Mary opted to let him sleep, taking instead a photo of the swirling mamma clouds to show him when he awoke. ‘And that’s why,’ said William, when he shared her image with us, ‘we’re still together after fifty years.’

I've seen those clouds several times here in Oklahoma during tornado outbreaks....
