Lahaina Fire Update: ⚠️ The Lahaina community was NOT invited to the Lahaina Strong Protest on Maui. Bissen will be there instead and has invited Josh Green to show up. This protest is now being pushed and sponsored by the government. ⚠️ The Royal Lahaina will soon start to evict fire survivors. Residents say they have received letters about future departures. ⚠️ Renters whose homes and condos were not lost in the fire and have gotten no assistance are now being evicted. ⚠️ the SBA is still updating their software systems and can not pay out loans they authorized ⚠️ Unemployment Insurance has ended for some and others by February with no extension or jobs to return to in sight ⚠️ Hundreds, if not thousands have filed lawsuits against the State and HECO ⚠️ Fire was MAN-MADE ⚠️ 2nd fire is still believed to be caused by arson ⚠️ Homes that did not get burned down were looted late in the night ⚠️ Some insurance companies have paid out ⚠️ Some insurance companies low-ball their clients ⚠️ Some don't have insurance or titles to their properties. ⚠️ 49 to 500 kids are still missing and have reported back to school. Without a criminal investigation, we will never have an accurate count, I fear.
