#LahainaFires Update: ⚠️Another set of homes and condos has recently hit the real estate market. All priced because residents need to sell their properties and move away. Thousands have already departed, and over 100 households have joined the list within the past week. See the picture below ⚠️There is still no financial assistance for most, and many are purposely ignored by the county and state. ⚠️ SBA systems are still down, and the SBA still can't pay anyone out ⚠️ Unemployment will end for anyone still on it in February. There are no extensions, and many are still laid off of work ⚠️ it's been 5 months, and nothing has been done as of yet to start the building process. Homeowners whose homes were not burned down may return to their properties after a year or so. ⚠️ Lawsuits keep piling up on the state and HECO ⚠️ Fire survivors must still pay their mortgages ⚠️ Insurance is low balling their amounts of their policies and not paying out what they should be. Typical! ⚠️ Many residents and homeowners in Lahaina Town are ready to sell their properties. They are over it but are not allowed to sell as of yet. Some are running out of time and might foreclose by force. ⚠️ Millionaires just have to wait about a month or two, and short sales will start to hit the market. ⚠️ The temporary school is being built and almost finished. However, most of the families were forced to reside on the other side of the island and now will have to travel 45 min to drop their kids off at school. ⚠️ Thieves have started entering people's homes that have not burned down in Lahaina and stealing what they can. ⚠️ Many homeowners have still not been paid out for their insurance claims ⚠️ More small businesses are closing out this month.
