9. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.10. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. 11. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. 12. Restore unto me the joy of the salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.13. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.Psalm 51:9-13 The psalmist teaches us a good lesson. Sin can never be hidden from God, who sees all. He petitions God, that He would cast all unfavorable deeds behind His back out of His sight. After He has done this to replace his evil heart with a clean one, and by pardoning him, renew his spirit his inner man. Feeling the presence of God's absence because of sin, he sought restoration of God presence. Restoration is sought for the joy and assurance of eternal salvation, which is the work of Christ. The Spirit of God is a comfort and strength, without which it is impossible to live for Christ. We need every gift He will supply. And here, King David, receiving pardon and forgiveness, seeks to teach to others, so they shall be converted. I know of no unregenerated soul that has brought anyone to Christ. You must turn from sin if you would bring others to Christ. Amen.
