1. O give thanks unto to the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
3. And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
4. They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.
5. Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
Psalm 107:1-5
The psalmist give thanks to the Lord as all men should. He is the Author of all good. His mercy men in every age are partakers of.
The redeemed of the Lord will say so, since their redemption is proof of His goodness. Christ the Author of their redemption, did so by His blood.
Christ has redeemed His own from Satan, sin, and death. Therefore they shall sing the song only the redeemed can sing.
Christ gathered His own from every part of the earth He created. By His Gospel, showing us, by being one of us, how we should live.
All people on a spiritual journey, shall hunger and thirst, till fed with the Bread of Life, and drink the Living Water.
As travelers in the desert, spiritual travelers find no rest, peace, joy, comfort, nor place of residence, but in Christ.
Christ delivered them from their distresses, by leading them in the way of salvation, the narrow path He walked. Amen.
