3. And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. 4. These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. 7. And when they have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.Revelation 11:3-7 John is given a rod to measure the temple of God. And is told not to measure the court outside the temple. The temple is the true church of Christ, which He is the foundation. The court outside is for carnal church, having the name, but not the nature of Christ, these are cast out. Because they worship others, before the Living God. As the heathens do. The Christians shall be persecuted by these for 42 months. This is during the 1260 days of the two witnesses. This is after the 6th angel has sounded, and before the 7th the last sounding angel. You can see from the verses the power given the witnesses, and at the end of their testimony of Christ, the beast, the antichrist from the bottomless pit, will kill them, thinking he has won. But in short time God will revive them and they shall ascend into heaven. Christ said why do you call me Lord, but do not the things I say. I myself am guilty of this and ask forgiveness and strength to live a life pleasing to Christ the Lord. Amen.
