This may not be as frontline as a GMO or Vaccination debate, but it's still plain wrong. Peppers, and really other fruit (yes, peppers are fruit scientifically speaking) have but one sex: Female! This is because the seeds of the plant contained in the fruit are the embryos of that plant. "Eggs" are fertilized by pollen (sperm) when the plant is flowering. The ovary of that flower then swells as the seeds mature ultimately creating the fruit that we are familiar with for that plant. And because ovaries are a female trait, all fruit including peppers are female. Just because it isn't front page news doesn't mean it isn't bad science!I just got a fiver 😕
