Abortion Abolitionist Wins Special Election for State Senate in Oklahoma
In New York City, 80% of the babies killed by abortion in 2012 were minorities: Hispanics, Asians, Pacific Islanders, and Blacks.
According to a “Pregnancy Outcomes” report published by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, there were a total 73,815 “induced terminations,” or abortions, in 2012 in the five boroughs that comprise New York City. (See Pregnancy Outcomes NYC 2012.pdf)
Among those abortions, 58,738 were of babies of minority race or ethnicity. That’s 79.57% of the total, or approximately 80% of all the abortions that year.
The abortions by race/ethnicity and number are listed below:

The report also shows that there were 9,704 “non-Hispanic white” abortions in 2012, which equals 13.1% of the total.
The 58,738 minority abortions and 9,704 white induced terminations equals 68,442, which is 5,373 less than the total of 73,815. According to the report, those 5,373 abortions were of children of “other/unknown ethnicities.”
