NOTE: REPOST📝🍳Hey, guys! I recently picked up this vintage "Made in Taiwan" cast iron skillet at my local antique store and the guy who runs it was telling me about the craziest conspiracy theory! He said that the Taiwanese cast iron foundries were run by Chinese spies and the swirl pattern on the pans were used as subliminal messaging to get the Taiwanese people to support Chinese control of Taiwan. HA! Crazy, right?!It's been a great pan so far. I know most people don't like Asian cast iron because they're typically recasts of American pans, but, I mean, even if it's not your "original" design, once you remake it, it's essentially a new and unique design that belongs to you, right? So, I was cooking an egg on it the other day, and I was just staring at the beautiful pattern on the cooking surface... such perfect circles... and I thought to myself, "Hey! This pan would make a great noodle pot!" So I boiled some water in it and made some delicious Ramen. Yummy! As I was eating my Ramen out of the pan, observing the impressive factory grinding work done on the pan, I couldn't help but think that a lot of American criticism of Communism is really unfounded. I mean, have any Americans actually *lived* in a Communist country? How can they even honestly critique such a brilliant economic system when they haven't even experienced it's benefits?Anyways, this has been a great piece of cast iron so far and I am really enjoying our skillet... I mean, my skillet... I mean...I have really been enjoying our skillet, Comrades.中国万岁
